Self Care Sunday

Self Care Sunday

For so many women I know, Sunday is the day for self care. It’s the day most of us are getting ready for the week ahead, and a great time to pause for breath before Monday.

With that in mind, I’ve decided to make every Sunday “Self Care Sunday” here at Bring Your Wonder. We’ve got tons of ideas, tips, DIYs, and more to share, so check back every week!

This week I want to share a simple + amazing 3-ingredient DIY recipe from Camp Wander for “Dirty Feet Scrub” that you can make in about 3 minutes with things you already have at home, and use every day.

We use it daily around here, and if it can keep my almost-always-bare feet looking and feeling clean and soft, I’m pretty sure it’ll work for just about anyone. (When I was a kid, my mom kept a bar of Lava soap in the tub just for my feet!)

You can play around with the recipe; I’ve used hand soap instead of dish soap, and eucalyptus + peppermint essential oils instead of lemon (divine!!). For the filthiest feet, I recommend regular old Dawn.

Remember: self care is a daily practice.

So that’s it! Now go do something nice for your Self. 🙂

I can picture these DIY boho door tassels in so many color combinations, maybe with a bell or two added.

Gathering your own stones for these painted mandalas could be part of the fun. You can also buy small bags of stones at Dollar Tree, or bigger bags at Home Depot or Lowe’s. This craft takes a little longer than the others because you have to be pretty careful (PRO TIP: practice making your dots on a “test rock” before you start), and you have to wait for each coat of paint to dry before adding the next layer.

This DIY pop-pom rug is so adorable, and the possibilities for customization are infinite. Make smaller ones for placemats, or table mats.

Here’s another project with infinite possibilities: this DIY boho chic tray. Any tray with a relatively smooth surface + any paint + any paper/fabric (like: wallpaper, wrapping paper, tissue paper, memorabilia, maps, I could go on forever…) + Mod Podge (or something similar) would work.

These quick & easy 3-D framed botanicals are made with thrifted frames + fake flowers and greenery. You could use dried leaves, twigs, and flowers instead, or feathers, or jewelry. It’d be fun to change out seasonally.

If you were going to pick one of these crafts to make, which one would you choose? Tell me in the comments below! (I’d make the beaded windchimes. Honestly, I probably have enough stuff to make several!)
